Orly:s gelmanikyr för hemmabruka finns nu i fler färger. Under våren kommer Orly SmartGels i tolv nya färger: Crawford's wine, rRby, Passionfruit, Teracotta, Bare rose, Catch the bouquet, Mirror Mirror, Shine, Luxe, Liquid Vinyl, White tips och Prisma Gloss Silver. Nu kan du alltså skapa fransk manikyr med Orly SmartGels. Perfekt om du vill ha naturligt snygga naglar med ett hållbart resultat. Du kan även göra pedikyr med Orly SmartGels. Orly SmartGels säljs hos Åhléns och Nelly.com och startkittet kostar 795 kr, LED lampan 249 kr och gelelacken 179 kr.

OPI Vamsterdam

Eftersom Orly SmartGels gelmanikyr skulle gå att måla över utan att gelmanikyren förstördes så var jag ju självklart tvungen att testa det. Jag testade att måla över den med Vamsterdam från OPI:s vårkollektion Holland eftersom mitt gellack var rött och jag ville ha ett lite mörkare lack att måla över med så det inte skulle krävas så himla många lager.

Since you should be able to paint over the Orly SmartGels gel manicure for home with a regular polish without it destroying the gel manicure I of course had to try this. I used OPI's Vamsterdam from their spring collection to paint over the gel manicure since my SmartGels polish was red and I wanted a darker polish to pain over so I wouldn't have to pain to many coats.

Första testet av Orly SmartGels

Förra tisdagen gav jag mig på att testa Orly SmartGels gelmanikyr för första gången och så här blev resultatet med färgen Haute red som jag fick med. Nu återstår det att se hur bra det sitter. Efter en vecka ser det iallafall fortfarande fint ut.

Last tuesday I tried the Orly SmartGels gel manicure for the first time and this is the result. The color I wear is called Haute red. Now I'm just waiting to see how long the manicure will last. Now after one week it still looks nice.

ORLY SmartGels

För ett tag sedan så var jag ju på pressvisning med Orly där deras nya SmartGels presenterades och eftersom jag inte hann skriva så mycket om produkten som sådan då så tänkte jag att jag skulle berätta lite mer om den nu.

OrlySmart gels gör det möjligt att göra gelmanikyr hemma och lanseras i Sverige v. 16. När den lanseras så finns det 12 färger att välja på. Dessa är en exakt match av lack från deras ordinarieutbud av lack vilket gör att du om det uppstår en utväxt ska kunna fylla i längst in med ett vanligt lack. Om du tröttnar på din gelmanikyr ska det även gå alldelens utmärkt att måla över med ett vanligt lack som du sedan kan ta bort utan att skada gelmanikyren. Använder du ett mörkt lack bör du dock använda ett baslack så att inte gelen missfärgas.

Den tillhörande LED-lampan som säljs separat (det är dock inte samma lampa som ni ser på bilden ovan, vi fick en speciallampa då den som kommer att gå att köpa just du höll på att tillverkas i Kina) härdar lacket på 30 sekunder och behandlingen ska sitta i ca; 2-3 veckor. Lampan som kommer att säljas kommer att gå på batteri och inte behöva någon sladd så som den jag har behöver.

A while ago I attended a pressevent with Orly where they presented their new Orly SmartGels. Orly SmartGels makes it possible for everyone to create a gel manicure at home. When the product is launched you will have the choice between 12 different gel colors that all matches an polish from Orlys nail polish selection so you can use a regular polish to fix the nail if you get an out growth. If you get tired of the gel color than you can just paint it over with a regular nail polish and then take the regular nail polish off without damaging the gele. If you want to paint over the gel with a darker nail polish than you should use a base coat so that the gel doesn't get discolored.

The LED lamp (that is sold separetly) dries the gel in 30 sec and the gel treatment should last for about 2-3 weeks. The lamp in this picture isn't the same as the one you will be able to buy. That lamp was at the time being made in China so this is another lamp. The lamp you can buy will run on batteries.

The products will be sold in stores around Sweden from week 16.

Igår var jag på pressvisning med nagellacksmärket Orly som nu nylanseras i Sverige. Orly grundades 1975 av Jeff Pink och var det första professionella nagellacksmärket och Jeff Pink ska också vara den som uppfunnit den franska manikyren. 

Fokus igår var dock på Orlys nya produkt SmartGels som gör de möjligt att skapa professionella gelnaglar hemma. Proceduren verkar lite krånglig och tar lite tid med å andra sidan så blir det mycket billigare än att göra naglarna på salong och det ska hålla betydligt längre än vanligt nagellack (2-3 veckor om man gör ett ordentligt förarbete). 

Jag kommer berätta mer om SmartGels framöver men just nu hinner jag inte med det så ni får nöja er med det här nu. Då jag fick med mig ett SmartGels kit hem också så kommer ni självklart även att få en lite recension och bilder på resultatet när jag hunnit testa själv. 

Yesterday I was at an press event with the nail polish brand Orly that's being re-launched in Sweden. Orly was founded in 1975 by Jeff Pink and was the first professional nail polish brand. Jeff Pink is also said to be the inventor of the french manicure. 

Yesterdays focus was on Orly's new product smartGELS that makes it possible to create a professional gel manicure at home at an affordable price. The procedure looks a little bit complex and seams to take some time but it's much cheaper than getting your nails done at the saloon and it will last much longer then regular nail polish (it should stay on for about 2-3 weeks if you make it right).

I will tell you more about SmartGels in the future but this is all for now since I'm in a bit of a hurry. Since I got a SmartGels kit with me home I will of course also give you a review and some pictures of the result once I have had the time to try it.
