CND Magenta Mischief

Som utlovat kommer här min favorit av de tre lacken jag fick hem från CND:s Art Vandal kollektion - Magenta Mischief.

Jag älskar det diskreta blålila skimmret i Magenta Mischief. Även om Untitled Bronze och Irreverent Rose är fina så är det här ändå helt klart min favorit av de tre jag fick hem. Jag tycker kanske inte att Art Vandal kollektionen var så spännande men jag gillade verkligen lacken i CND:s Aurora collection från i vintras. Det som jag gillar bäst med CND:s vinylux lack är dock att det inte behövs något underlack och att de har så bra hållbarhet.

As promised here is my favourite from CND's Art Vandal collektion - Magenta Mischief.

I love the discrete blueish purple shimmer in this. Even if I like Untitled Bronze and Irreverent Rose this is definitely my favourite of the three shades from this collection that was sent to me. I don't think that the shades in the Art Vandal collection felt that new and exiting but I really liked the shades from CND's winter collection last year, the Aurora Collection. What I like most about CND̈́s Vinylux polishes are that you don't need any base coat with these and that they last for about a week.

I'm going for the (Untitled) Bronze!

Idag satsar jag på brons med CND Untitled Bronze från vårens Art Vandal kollektion.

CND Vinylux Weekly polish passar mig perfekt under veckorna när jag har mycket och göra och känner att jag inte kommer att orka måla om naglarna varje dag som jag annars gillar att göra. De håller nämligen riktigt fint under hela veckan om jag lackar på söndagkväll. Ett av lacken från CND:s vårkollektion Art Vandal var detta, Untitled Bronze, som är ett riktigt fint bronsfärgat lack med lite metallisk finish. Ibland kan brons vara en riktig vinnare.

Inte mitt favoritlack från den här kollektionen men inte alls ett tokigt lack och lite roligare än Irreverent rose. Av de tre lack från kollektionen som jag fick hem är Magenta Mischief, som jag ännu inte visat upp, min favorit. Jag sparar det bästa till sist.

Today I'm going for the bronze with CND Untitled Bronze from the spring collection Art Vandal.

CND Vinylux Weekly polish is a perfect fit for me during the weeks when I know that I'm going to have a lot to do and won't have the energy to paint my nails every day as I prefer to do. They stay on nicely for the entire week if I paint my nails on Saturday evening. One of the polishes from CND's spring collection Art Vandal was this, Untitled Bronze. A nice bronze colored nail polish with a bit of metallic finish. Sometime bronze can be a real winner.

Not my favorite from this collection but certainly a nice nail polish and a bit more fun than Irreverent Rose. From the three shades I got from this collection my favorite was Magenta Mischief that I haven't showed you yet. I'm saving the best for last.

The holo hookup February - Elements

The Holo Hookup är ett samarbete mellan indielackmärkena Glisten & Glow, Cupcake Polish, och Different Dimension + ett gästmärke. Varje månad släpper de fyra hololack på ett visst tema. I Februari var temat Elements och gästmärket var Takko Lacquer.

Jag älskar både indielack och holos så The Holo Hookup passar mig verkligen perfekt! Temat i februari var som nämts Elements och jag som oxe är således jord och jag måste säga att jag verkligen gillar Different Dimensions Earth. När jag först såg dem så var min spontana tanke att jag gillade det lacket minst men nu vet jag inte riktigt längre… Kan inte bestämma mig. Jag gillar alla fyra lacken.

Har du någon favorit?

Sugen på att testa The Holohook up? I sådant fall beställer man här. Aprils box säljs dock inte längre utan ni blir i sådant fall tvungna att vänta tills The Holo hookup för mig kommer ut till försäljning. Lacken säljs nämligen bara under några dagar i slutet av varje månad.

The Holo Hookup is a collaboration between the indie polish brands Glisten & Glow, Cupcake Polish and Different Dimension + one guest. Every month they releases four holo polishes on a special theme. The theme for February was elements and the guest was Takko lacquer.

I love indies and I love holos so The holo hookup is just up my ally! The theme for February was as I mentioned Elements and as a Taurus I’m earth. I have to say that I really liked Different Dimensions earth. My first impression was that Earth was the one I liked the least but now once I’ve tried them I don’t know…. I can’t decided. I like all four.

Makiash Sunset Boulevard trio

Sunset Boulevard nail polish trio kit från Makiash består av tre vackra mörka lack. Perfekt för er som ännu inte känner er riktigt redo för vårens pasteller ännu.

Jag passade på att testa dessa mörka skönheter för ett tag sedan när mina naglar hade gått av. En av naglarna på min vänsterhand hade gått av väldigt långt ner. Var av någon anledning väldigt svårt att hålla i nagellacksflaskan med min Askungehand. Man skulle ju kunna tro att det skulle vara lättare eftersom jag är högerhänt men inte det.

De tre lacken i Sunset Boulevard trion är Black Ebony, Ruby Red och Midnight Blue. Trion kostar 260 kr. Är man bara sugen på ett av lacken så kostar ett lack 100 kr. Ruby Red och Midnight Blue är så pass mörka att de ser nästan svarta ut de med, särskilt i lite sämre ljust. Lacken är i alla fall trevliga att lacka med och fantastisk fina alla tre. Om man gillar mörka lack. 

Jag gillade dessa så jag ser fram emot att testa de andra produkterna från Makiash som väntar på att testa.

För er som inte vet det så är Makiash ett svenskt märke som finns att köpa i deras egen webshop och hos ellos.

Sunset Boulevard nail polish trio kit from Makiash contains three beautiful dark nail polish shades. Perfect for those of you that doesn't feel ready for the spring pastel shades just yet.

I decided to try these dark beauties when my nails had broke and was very short. One of the nails on my left hand had broken off really short so the nail bed was showing so I let my Cinderella hand come out and play. It was a lot harder then I thought holding the polish bottle with my Cinderella hand. You'd thing it would be easy since I'm right handed but no.

The three nail polish in the Sunset Boulevard trio are Black Ebony, Ruby Red and Midnight Blue. The price for the trio is 27 euro and if you only want one of the polishes the price is 10.5o euro. Ruby red and Midnight Blue is so dark that they almost looks black on, especially when the light is a bit bad. Anyhow the polishes are nice to work with and they all looks lovely. At least if you like darker shades.

I liked these and are looking forward to trying out the other products from Makiash that's laying here waiting to be tried out.

CND Vinylux Irreverent Rose

Irreverent Rose är ett av lacken från CND:s vårkollektion Art Vandal. Ett fint ceriserosa cremelack.

CND Vinylux Irreverent Rose är lite ljusare än de ser ut på de här bilderna. Jag hade tyvärr alldeles för dåligt ljus. Det är i alla fall ett riktigt fint, men kanske inte så spännande, lack. Mitt topcoat som jag använde här börjar dessutom bli lite för gammalt och segt så det blev inte så fint lackat. Jag gillar i alla fall Irrevelent Rose och tror det kan vara riktigt snyggt på tånaglarna i ett par öppna sandaler till sommaren.

Av de lack jag fick hem från CND:s Art Vandal kollektion är det här lacket som jag tycker är minst spännande även om jag ändå tycker att det är fint.

Irreverent Rose is one of the polishes from CND’s spring collection Art Vandal. A pretty dark pink creme polish.

 

CND Vinylux Irreverent Rose is a little lighter shade then shown in the photos. Unfortunately I didn’t have very good light when I took these photos. Anyhow this is a nice shade, but maybe not that new and exciting. My top coat was getting a bit old so the finish isn’t as glossy and even as it should be either. The polish is nice though and I think this shade will be great on the toenails in a pair of open sandals when summer comes.

Amongst the nail polishes I got from the CND Art Vandal collection this is the shade that I felt the least excited about but I still think it’s nice.

Pop, click, Fizz!

Hare Polish Pop, Click, Fizz! Är sött som hallonsylt. Mina tankar om penseln är dock lite spretiga..

 

Hare Polish logga är verkligen helsöt och så är lacket Pop, Click, Fizz! Som påminner mig om hallonsylt. Jag älskar de söta stjärnorna i lacket. Formulan är svår att uttala sig om då den spretiga penseln gjorde lacket extremt svårmålat. Jag hoppas, och misstänker, att jag råkat få ett måndagsexemplar av penseln då jag testat andra Hare Polish lack som inte haft så här dålig och spretig pensel.

Lacket kommer från Llarowe a box indied januari 2014.

Blir bara ett kort inlägg idag för precis som penseln till det här lacket så har den här måndagen varit ett riktigt måndagsexemplar så jag känner mig inte så bloggsugen. Känner mest för att krypa ner under täcket och stanna där.

Hare Polish Pop, Click, Fizz! is sweet as raspberry jam. My thoughts about the brush is a bit split though…

Hare Polish logo is adorable and so is the polish Pop, Click, Fizz! It reminds me of raspberry jam and I love the tiny stars in the polish. I can’t really tell if the formula is good or not since the brush hairs are pointing all over the place making the almost impossible to paint with it.  I’m hoping, and guessing, that I just had the bad luck of receiving a bad brush. I’ve tried other Hare Polishes and they haven’t had brushes this bad so I guess I just lucked out on this one.

The polish is one of the polishes from the Llarowe a box indied January 2014.

This is just going to be a really short post because just as this polish brush this Monday have been a really bad one so I don’t really feel like blogging. To be honest I just feel like going to bed and stay there.

Förra veckan var jag på en lunch med Mildh Press och big small company på Urban Deli. Där fick jag bland annat chansen att titta närmare på Nailmatic KIDS.

Removing Nailmatic KIDS is super easy!

Den här presslunchen med Mildh Press och big small company riktade sig väl kanske till en liten annan målgrupp. Det var ingen jag kände där och spontant skulle jag säga att det mest var mammabloggare där. Jag har, som ni kanske redan gissat, inga barn. Lunchen var ändå trevlig med god mat.

En av produkterna som presenterades under lunchen var Nailmatic KIDS vattenbaserade nagellack. Nagellacken är fria från formaldehyd. toulene, ftalater och parfym. Lacken tvättas bort med tvål och vatten (eller bara vatten för den delen...) så någon nagellacksremover behövs inte.

Nailmatic KIDS har ok formula och är otroligt täckande. De räcker med 1-2 lager för full täckning. De torkar ganska snabbt vilket jag tänker är bra eftersom de riktar sig till barn som inte brukar vara jätteförtjusta i att sitta still någon längre stund.

Det står att lacket kan tvättas bort med tvål och vatten eller i badet. Jag kan säga att någon tvål inte behövdes, det räcker att sätta händerna i ljummet vatten så lossnar lacket som ni kan se ovan.

Nailmatick KIDS kommer i gulliga kartonger som dubbelarbetar som målarbok och lacken har söta ansikten med olika miner beroende på vilken sida av flaskan som du tittar.

Priset för dessa kan jag tycka är lite dyrt för nagellack som är tänkta för barn och som jag misstänker kanske inte kommer att räcka så länge då barn skulle 1. kunna råka spilla ut lacken och 2. de tvättas bort när du kommer i kontakt med vatten, dvs de saknar helt hållbarhet. Stort plus för att de inte behövs någon remover för att ta bort lacken dock när de är tänka till barn. Att det går att tvätta bort med tvål och vatten gör också att det blir lättare att tvätta bort vid eventuellt spill. Men som sagt jag kan spontant tycka att priset är lite högt.

Ett lack kostar 84 kr (finns 11 färger).

Ett 3-pack kostar 215 kr (finns fyra att välja mellan).

Ett 7-pack kostar 420 kr (finns två att välja mellan).

Jag kan tänka mig att dessa kan bli en hit på barnkalaset där man kan leka nagelsalong.

Vad tycker ni om nagellack till barn?

Last week I attended a press lunch with Mildh Press and big small company at Urban Deli. There I got the chance to look closer at some products. Amongst them Nailmatic KIDS.

This press lunch with Mildh Press and big small company was actually targeting a different crowed then the press events I usually attend. There weren’t anyone I knew there and my guess is that most of the other women there where mommy bloggers. I, as you might have guessed by now, don't have any kids.  It was still a nice lunch with good food.

One of the products that was presented to us at the lunch was Nailmatic KIDS water based nail polish. The nail polish are free from formaldehyde. toluene, phthalates and perfume. The nail polishes are removed with just water and soap (or only water for that matter...) so no nail polish remover is needed.

Nailmatic KIDS actually has an ok formula to work with and covers nicely in just one to two coats. They dry quite fast and I assume that is good since they are for kids and they usually don't like to be still for too long. 

The information say that they can be removed with soap and water or in the bath tub during a bath. I can say that absolutely no soap is needed. Just put the hands in lukewarm water and the nail polish will come off as you can see in the photos above.

Nailmatick KIDS comes in these adorable boxes that also works as small colouring books, the nail polish has cute faces on them with different feeling showing depending on which side of the bottle you look at.

I think the price is a bit heavy considering that these are suppose to be for kids and I think they might not last that long. The reasons for that are that kids could easily 1. spill out the bottle and 2. they washes of the second you come in contact with water. It's a plus that you don’t need a remover since they are for kids. That also makes it easy to wash of if they spill on floor or furniture. It also means that they are far from long lasting and the price is as I mentioned a bit high in my opinion. 

The polishes are sold separately or in packs of three or seven polishes.

I think these could be a hit at a birthday party where the kids can play nail salon. 

If you have a little boy or a girl that wants just as beautiful nails as mommy (or daddy) then these might be a safe choice.

Depend Five shades of SORBET

Depend bjuder på Sorbet i vår med sina limited edition O2 lack Depend five shades of SORBET. Härliga matta pasteller som passar perfekt till våren.

När jag fick hem Depend Five Shades of SORBET tillsammans med det matta överlacket så var jag bara tvungen att testa alla dessa lite snabbt. Kollektionen är en limited edition kollektion bestående av fem matta O2 lack i pastellfärger. Lacken kommer ut i butik v. 9 och kostar 29 kr/st och kommer att finnas hos Kicks, Åhléns samt hos välsorterade parfymerier. Fem härligt fräscha och glassiga pasteller som verkligen ger vårkänslor. Det matta överlacket ger fin och ordentligt matt finish. Jag har använt två lager av alla dessa men Apricot sorbet och Grape Sorbet skulle eventuellt kunna behöva ytterligare ett lager då de är lite skirare än de andra.

Depend is giving us Sorbet this spring with their limited edition O2 lack Depend five shades of SORBET. Lovely matte pastels that’s perfect for spring.

When I got the Depend Five Shades of SORBET polishes together with the matte top coat I just had to make a fast and simple mani with them all. The collection is limited edition and contains five matte pastel shades in their O2 formula. They will be in stores from week 9. Five lovely, fresh and ice cream coloured pastels that really screams spring.  The matte top coat gives a perfect matte finish. I’ve used two coats of all shades in these photos but Apricot Sorbet and Grape Sorbet could maybe have needed another coat cause they are a bit more sheer then the other once.

Anyone else getting spring vibes?

Caught red handed!

Om jag nu ska bli caught red handed så blir jag det mer än gärna i vackra Leighton Denny lacket Caught Red handed!

Jag har inget emot röda nagellack men det är inte heller någon favorit. Min chef brukar ibland berätta att hon läst en artikel i en juristtidning om att jurister (eller advokater) inte "får" använda rött nagellack. Tydligen ska vi ha, förvisso snygg - men tråkig, fransk manikyr. Jag gillar fransk manikyr också men nagelnörd som jag är så älskar jag att variera mig och testa det mesta.

Åter till Leighton Denny Caught red handed. Det här är det första Leighton Denny lacket jag testar och jag gillar lacket. Det har trevlig formula och färgen Caught red handed är verkligen en otroligt vacker röd som inte är det minsta tråkig. Jag måste verkligen ta och testa fler Leighton Denny lack framöver och se om jag gillar dem lika mycket som det här. Caught red handed påminner mig om sådant här rött foliepapper som man brukade använda för att göra julpynt i skolan.

Trivia: Det finns förövrigt en bok som heter The Judge who hated red nail polish: And other crazy but true stories about law and lawyers som kan vara en rolig present om du känner någon jurist eller juriststudent.




If I'm going to be caught red handed then I'd gladly be it wearing Leighton Denny Caught Red handed!

I don't have anything against red nail polish but it's not a favourite nail colour of mine. My boss use to say that she read an article once that said lawyers wasn't "allowed" to wear red nail polish. Apparently we should wear, beautiful - bur boring french manicures. Don't get me wrong I love a nice fresh french manicure but nail polish geek as I am I love to try various nail colours. 

Well back to Leighton Denny's Caught red handed. This is my first Leighton Denny nail polish and I really like it. It has a nice formula and the colour is an incredible beautiful red and not the least bit boring red. I really need to try more Leighton Denny nail polishes to see if I will like them as much as I like this one. Caught red handed reminds me of red foil paper that we made Christmas decorations from in school when I was a child.

Trivia: Their is by the way a book called The Judge who hated red nail polish: And other crazy but true stories about law and lawyers that could be a fun gift if you know any lawyers or law students.

CND Art Vandal Collection

CND Art Vandal Collection är årets vårkollektion från CND. CND beskriver det själv som att kollektionen omtolkar klassikerna.

CND:s Art Vandal Collection för Shellac innehåller sex nyanser: Untitled Bronze, Art Basil, Magenta Mischief, Digi-teal, Mauve Maverick och Future Fuchsia. I CND Vinylux Weekly Polish innhåller Art Vandal kollektionen åtta färger. Utöver Untitled Bronze, Art Basil, Magenta Mischief, Digi-teal och Mauve Maverick hittar du även Irreverent Rose, Sienna Scribble och Tutti-Frutti som Vinylux. Däremot verkar inte Future Fuchsia komma som Vinylux. 

CND Art Vandal collection är en fin men inte så nyskapande kollektion. Den sticker dock ut bland alla pasteller den här våren. 

Jag fick hem Vinyluxlacken Magenta Mischief, Untitled Bronze och Irrevent Rose som ni får en liten tjuvtitt på här ovan. 

Priset för en Shellac behandling kostar från 350 kr på salong och Vinylux lacken kostar 135 kr/st.    

CND Art Vandal Collection is this years spring collection from CND. CND them say that the collection reinterpret the classics.  

CND:s Art Vandal Collection for Shellac is available in six shades: Untitled Bronze, Art Basil, Magenta Mischief, Digi-teal, Mauve Maverick and Future Fuchsia. The Art Vandal collection for CND Vinylux Weekly Polish contains eight colours. In addition to Untitled Bronze, Art Basil, Magenta Mischief, Digi-teal and Mauve Maverick you will find Irreverent Rose, Sienna Scribble and Tutti-Frutti as Vinylux. Future Fuchsia on the other hand doesn't seem to be available as Vinylux.  

CND Art Vandal collection is a nice but not that innovative collection. It stands out a bit from all of the pastel collection this spring though.
