Vårens Clinique Pop Nyheter

När jag var på Clinique:s Play with Pop event på Åhléns fick jag även med mig lite nyheter från Clinique Pop och de fick det verkligen att kännas som att våren är här!

Jag som både älskar färg och sådant som är vackert att titta på är fullständigt förälskad i Clinique Pop produkterna. Särskilt Clinique Cheek Pop och Clinique Lid Pop som ser ut som vackra blommor. De är nästan för fina för att röra... Även om vissa av fägerna kan se väldigt klara och skarpa ut så är tanken med dessa att man ska bygga upp färgen så man får så mycket färg man vill ha så bli inte rädd för de starkare färgerna, man måste bygga upp dem för att få dem så klara som de ser ut. Vill man få fram färgerna på ögonskuggorna är ett tips att använda primer, om du inte redan gör det, och eventuellt att lägga på dem med fuktig borste för att verkligen få dem att "poppa".

På läppfronten kommer Clinique med nya skira Pop Glaze som passar perfekt för er som fortfarande är lite rädda för läppstift. Dessa ger endast en skir färg och känns ungefär som färgade läppbalsam. Clinique Pop Lacquer Lip Colour + Primer är flytande och glansig som läppglans men med ganska mycket färg. Sedan släpper Clinique även nya Clinque Pop Oil Lip & Cheek Glow.

Jag ser verkligen fram emot att testa alla dessa. Jag har ärligt talat alltid tyckte att Clinque har varit lite tråkiga på sminkfronten men Clinique Pop gillar jag. Ser ni någon produkt som får ert hjärta att klappa lite extra?

At the Clinique Play with Pop event at Åhléns I also got some Clinique Pop news to take home. These new products really made it feel like it's spring!

Since I love both colours and beutiful things I'm totally in love with the new Clinique Pop products that I got. I especially love the Clinique Cheek Pop and Clinique Lid Pop that looks like prettu flowers. They are almost to pretty to use... Even though some of the colours looks really bright you shouldn't fear them. Clinique's thought is that you're going to build up the colours. You have to build up the colours a bit to get them to look like they do in the jars. If you want the eye shadows to really "pop" I suggest using a good primer and maybe a wet brush.  

When it comes to the lips you have the new Clinique Pop Glaze that gives a sheer colour and is perfect for those of you that's still afraid to use lipsticks. They feel kind a like a coloured lip balm. Clinique Pop Lacquer Lip Colour + Primer are liquid and glossy like lip gloss but gives quite a lot of colour. Clinique is also releasing the new Clinique Pop Oil Lip & Cheek Glow.

I'm really looking forward to trying these. I have honestly felt that Clinique's makeup has been a bit boring before but I really like their Clinique Pop line of products. Are there any of these products that makes your heart beat a little faster?

Kardashian beauty känns inte så glammigt som man kanske skulle kunna förvänta sig av smink med Kardashians namn på. En av produkterna imponerar dock över förväntan på mig.

I mitten av december var jag på event med Kardashian Beauty inför att sminkkollektionen skulle lanseras på Åhléns. Produkterna utstrålar kanske inte glamour direkt. Förpackningarna ser snarare ganska plastiga och tråkiga ut. Produkterna ligger dock på en låg prisnivå och jag tänker att det troligen inriktar sig på en lite yngre publik. Trots att mitt första intryck av produkterna kanske inte direkt fick mig att jubla så var jag ändå nyfiken på produkterna och nu har jag hunnit testa dem lite så låt oss se om min bild av Kardashian Beauty har förändrats till det bättre.

Vi börjar med K24 Prime- Face Priming mask som precis som namnet antyder är en guldig förberedande ansiktsmask. Du smörjer ett jämnt och generöst lager av guldmasken över ansikte och låter sitta på i fem minuter. Skölj sedan bort och sminka dig som vanligt. Produkten beskrivs som perfekt för alla tillfällen du vill känna dig ”flawless”. Vill vi inte alltid det? K24 Prime Face Priming Mask preparerar din hud inför foundationsamtidigt som den ska lämna ett subtilt, lysande sken av 24 karats guld som reflekterar ljuset och minskar synligheten av ojämnheter i huden. Kände jag mig flawless efter användning av den här? Nej inte direkt. Det är möjligt att andra tycker att den här ger bättre resultat än vad jag gjorde men nej det mest spännande med den här produkten var att man medans man lät den verka såg ut som man målat hela ansiktet med guldfärg. Kvar när man sköljt bort den var något enstaka glitterkorn som blivit kvar.

Cabana Bronze kommer i en ordentlig stor dosa. Den har tre olika nyanser i samma dosa varav den mörkast är lite skimmrande. Hyffsat pigmenterad och helt ok att jobba med. Ingen favorit hos mig men har inte heller något emot Cabana Bronze.

Stroke of midnight mascara har en borste av tätt sittande gummipiggar. Den ska ha optimal färgintesitet som direkt tillför volym och längd till fransarna. Jag tycker den ger fin svärta men tycker inte direkt att den tillför någon längd till mina fransar. Den ger inte heller något lyft till fransarna men viss volym. En helt ok mascara men inte mer än så.

Honey Stick Lip Gloss Wild Flower Honey gav diskret färg och glans. Det doftar lite sött och känns lite kladdigt på läpparna. Imponerar inte på något sätt men känns som ett ok lip gloss för den som gillar gloss som ändå ger lite färg. Jag hade önskat att det kändes lite mindre kladdigt då hade jag gillat det mer.

Jag har sparat det bästa till sist. Nämligen En-Joystick Lipstick pen Shocking Pink/ Rose Provoquant 317 som är ett läppstick i form av en penna. Pennan är smalar än läppstiftspennor brukar vara. Den har tjockare stift än en läppenna men inte mycket tjockare. En-Joystick är twist-up så den behöver inte vässas. Den har härlig krämig konsistens och känns skön på läpparna. Det relativt smala stiftet ger fin kontroll vid applicering. Dessutom har den riktigt bra hållbarhet. Satt kvar fint under 4 timmar på mig, även efter hamburgare och pommes, ett glas vin och en kopp kaffe. Om du inte äter och dricker en massa håller den längre tid än så. Den lämnar dock märken på glas och koppar. Det här är faktiskt en riktigt trevlig produkt som absolut är värd sina 149 kr. Jag blev positivt överraskad av En-Joystick.

Kardashian beauty isn’t as glam as I had expected from products with the Kardashian name on them. One of the products did however exceed my expectations.

In the middle of December last year I was at an event with Kardashian Beauty that was launching their makeup line on Åhléns. The products doesn’t exactly scream glamor. The packing is very plastic and a bit boring looking.  The product are however far from expensive and I guess targeting a younger crowed. Despite the fact that my first impression of the products didn’t exactly had me jumping for joy I was still curios about them. Now that I’d had time to try them let’s see if my thoughts about the products has changed or not, shall we?

Let’s start with the K24 Prime- Face Priming mask. It’s exacly what it sounds like. A golden face mask. You are suppose to apply a generous and even amount of it on your face and let it stay on for about five minutes. The you wash it off and can start applying your makeup as you usually would. The prodcut is desciribed as perfect for those times when you want to feel flawless. Doesn’t we always want to look flawless? K24 Prime Face Priming Mask is suppose to prepare your skin for the foundation and give a subtle, glow of 24 carat gold that reflects the light and making the skin looks more flawless.  Well did I feel flawless after using this? Well not really. I suppose their is a possibility that others would like this mask more then I did. For me the most exiting thing about this product was that while it was on it looked like my whole face was dipped in gold. When I had washed it off all that was noticeable was two or three gold glitters that had been left. 

Cabana Bronze comes in a big sturdy plastic packing. It has three shades in the same box and the darkest one has a little shimmer to it. The pigmentation is ok and it’s also ok to work with. Not a favorite but I don’t have anything against it either.  

Stroke of midnight mascara has a wand with rubber bristles. It’s suppose to give optimal color intensity and directly add volume and length to your lashes. I think it gives nice color but I don’t think it adds much length. It doesn’t lift or curl the lashes but it adds some, but not much, volume. This is an Ok mascara but not more then that. 

Honey Stick Lip Gloss Wild Flower Honey gives a discrete color and a nice shine. It has a sweet scent and it does feel a bit sticky. This isn’t impressing in any way but it’s an ok gloss for those who like a gloss that still adds some color.  I’d wish it had been less sticky. The I would have liked it better. 

I saved the best for last. That is the En-Joystick Lipstick pen Shocking Pink/ Rose Provoquant 317 which is a lipstick in pen form. The pen isn’t as chubby as most lipstick pens are. It’s thicker then a lip pen though but not much. En-Joystick is twist-up so no need for a pencil sharpener. It has a nice creamy formula and feels very nice on the lips.The fact that it’s not so chubby gives you great control when applying the color.  The lasting power of this is also nice. It lasted for well over 4 hours and then I had been eating a burger, had a glass of wine and a cup of coffee. If you don’t eat and drink a lot it last longer than that.  It did stain the glass and the cup though. This is actually a really nice product that is well worth it’s low price. I’m happily surprised by the En-Joystick.

Makiash Sunset Boulevard trio

Sunset Boulevard nail polish trio kit från Makiash består av tre vackra mörka lack. Perfekt för er som ännu inte känner er riktigt redo för vårens pasteller ännu.

Jag passade på att testa dessa mörka skönheter för ett tag sedan när mina naglar hade gått av. En av naglarna på min vänsterhand hade gått av väldigt långt ner. Var av någon anledning väldigt svårt att hålla i nagellacksflaskan med min Askungehand. Man skulle ju kunna tro att det skulle vara lättare eftersom jag är högerhänt men inte det.

De tre lacken i Sunset Boulevard trion är Black Ebony, Ruby Red och Midnight Blue. Trion kostar 260 kr. Är man bara sugen på ett av lacken så kostar ett lack 100 kr. Ruby Red och Midnight Blue är så pass mörka att de ser nästan svarta ut de med, särskilt i lite sämre ljust. Lacken är i alla fall trevliga att lacka med och fantastisk fina alla tre. Om man gillar mörka lack. 

Jag gillade dessa så jag ser fram emot att testa de andra produkterna från Makiash som väntar på att testa.

För er som inte vet det så är Makiash ett svenskt märke som finns att köpa i deras egen webshop och hos ellos.

Sunset Boulevard nail polish trio kit from Makiash contains three beautiful dark nail polish shades. Perfect for those of you that doesn't feel ready for the spring pastel shades just yet.

I decided to try these dark beauties when my nails had broke and was very short. One of the nails on my left hand had broken off really short so the nail bed was showing so I let my Cinderella hand come out and play. It was a lot harder then I thought holding the polish bottle with my Cinderella hand. You'd thing it would be easy since I'm right handed but no.

The three nail polish in the Sunset Boulevard trio are Black Ebony, Ruby Red and Midnight Blue. The price for the trio is 27 euro and if you only want one of the polishes the price is 10.5o euro. Ruby red and Midnight Blue is so dark that they almost looks black on, especially when the light is a bit bad. Anyhow the polishes are nice to work with and they all looks lovely. At least if you like darker shades.

I liked these and are looking forward to trying out the other products from Makiash that's laying here waiting to be tried out.

Caught red handed!

Om jag nu ska bli caught red handed så blir jag det mer än gärna i vackra Leighton Denny lacket Caught Red handed!

Jag har inget emot röda nagellack men det är inte heller någon favorit. Min chef brukar ibland berätta att hon läst en artikel i en juristtidning om att jurister (eller advokater) inte "får" använda rött nagellack. Tydligen ska vi ha, förvisso snygg - men tråkig, fransk manikyr. Jag gillar fransk manikyr också men nagelnörd som jag är så älskar jag att variera mig och testa det mesta.

Åter till Leighton Denny Caught red handed. Det här är det första Leighton Denny lacket jag testar och jag gillar lacket. Det har trevlig formula och färgen Caught red handed är verkligen en otroligt vacker röd som inte är det minsta tråkig. Jag måste verkligen ta och testa fler Leighton Denny lack framöver och se om jag gillar dem lika mycket som det här. Caught red handed påminner mig om sådant här rött foliepapper som man brukade använda för att göra julpynt i skolan.

Trivia: Det finns förövrigt en bok som heter The Judge who hated red nail polish: And other crazy but true stories about law and lawyers som kan vara en rolig present om du känner någon jurist eller juriststudent.




If I'm going to be caught red handed then I'd gladly be it wearing Leighton Denny Caught Red handed!

I don't have anything against red nail polish but it's not a favourite nail colour of mine. My boss use to say that she read an article once that said lawyers wasn't "allowed" to wear red nail polish. Apparently we should wear, beautiful - bur boring french manicures. Don't get me wrong I love a nice fresh french manicure but nail polish geek as I am I love to try various nail colours. 

Well back to Leighton Denny's Caught red handed. This is my first Leighton Denny nail polish and I really like it. It has a nice formula and the colour is an incredible beautiful red and not the least bit boring red. I really need to try more Leighton Denny nail polishes to see if I will like them as much as I like this one. Caught red handed reminds me of red foil paper that we made Christmas decorations from in school when I was a child.

Trivia: Their is by the way a book called The Judge who hated red nail polish: And other crazy but true stories about law and lawyers that could be a fun gift if you know any lawyers or law students.

CND Art Vandal Collection

CND Art Vandal Collection är årets vårkollektion från CND. CND beskriver det själv som att kollektionen omtolkar klassikerna.

CND:s Art Vandal Collection för Shellac innehåller sex nyanser: Untitled Bronze, Art Basil, Magenta Mischief, Digi-teal, Mauve Maverick och Future Fuchsia. I CND Vinylux Weekly Polish innhåller Art Vandal kollektionen åtta färger. Utöver Untitled Bronze, Art Basil, Magenta Mischief, Digi-teal och Mauve Maverick hittar du även Irreverent Rose, Sienna Scribble och Tutti-Frutti som Vinylux. Däremot verkar inte Future Fuchsia komma som Vinylux. 

CND Art Vandal collection är en fin men inte så nyskapande kollektion. Den sticker dock ut bland alla pasteller den här våren. 

Jag fick hem Vinyluxlacken Magenta Mischief, Untitled Bronze och Irrevent Rose som ni får en liten tjuvtitt på här ovan. 

Priset för en Shellac behandling kostar från 350 kr på salong och Vinylux lacken kostar 135 kr/st.    

CND Art Vandal Collection is this years spring collection from CND. CND them say that the collection reinterpret the classics.  

CND:s Art Vandal Collection for Shellac is available in six shades: Untitled Bronze, Art Basil, Magenta Mischief, Digi-teal, Mauve Maverick and Future Fuchsia. The Art Vandal collection for CND Vinylux Weekly Polish contains eight colours. In addition to Untitled Bronze, Art Basil, Magenta Mischief, Digi-teal and Mauve Maverick you will find Irreverent Rose, Sienna Scribble and Tutti-Frutti as Vinylux. Future Fuchsia on the other hand doesn't seem to be available as Vinylux.  

CND Art Vandal collection is a nice but not that innovative collection. It stands out a bit from all of the pastel collection this spring though. 

I got the Vinylux polish in Magenta Mischief, Untitled Bronze and Irrevent Rose from this collection that you can sneak peek at in the photos above.    

MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour

MAC har nu gett sig in i racet med flytande läppstift. Deras bidrag heter MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour och kommer i flera färger.

MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour in Personal Statement

Jag har en hatkärlek till matta flytande läppstift. Jag älskar hållbarheten men jag hatar den torra känslan i läpparna som matta läppstift ger. Men med tanke på hur bra de sitter och hur fint pigmenterade flytande läppstift är var jag ändå tvungen att införskaffa några MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour när de kom ut i butik. Ni kan vara lugna dessa är inte limited edition så är ni sugen på att testa så bör de inte vara några problem att få tag på.

MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour särskiljer sig inte speciellt mycket från andra flytande läppstift förutom på en punkt – applikatorn. Formen på applikatorn för färgen otroligt lätt att applicera snyggt. Formulan på dessa är trevlig och de är fint pigmenterade men de är de flesta flytande läppstift. Hållbarheten är bra men inte bättre än andra flytande läppstift jag testat. 

MAC:s Retro Matte Liquid lipcolour finns redan från det att de kom ut i 15 olika färger. Priset för dessa är 245 kr/st.

Gillar ni flytande läppstift?

MAC has now joined the liquid lipstick scene. Their contribution is MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour that’s available in a range of colours.

I have a love-hate relationship with matte liquid lipsticks. I love that they are long lasting but I hate the dry feeling to my lips that matte lipstick give. Considering how long lasting and pigmented liquid lipsticks are I still had to buy some MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour when they landed in store. You can relax, since these aren’t limited edition they should be easy enough to get a hold off if you like to try them yourself. 

MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour doesn’t stand out much in the liquid lipstick crowd except in one point- the applicator. The shape of the applicator makes this super easy to apply nice and evenly. The formula is nice and so is the pigmentation but so are most liquid lipsticks. They are quite long lasting but so are other liquid lipsticks I’ve tried. 

MAC’s Retro Matte Liquid Lipstick are available in 15 colours so far.
